Our stay in the farmhouse was sensational. It is well located for exploring the towns of Modica, Ragusa, and coastal towns like Pozzallo. This property is run by a lovely family who went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay, Breakfast was amazing, it was a huge selection and all the breads, croissant’s, and cakes are home made on the property. Tea and coffee facilities are not in the room but you can go to the dining area at anytime to enjoy a hot drink. The pool area is spotlessly clean and a lovely atmosphere to relax or swim. There is no restaurant at present but we actually enjoyed our own antipasto plates in the courtyard every evening with a bottle of our favourite wine. A great way to finish a busy day in a quiet, peaceful, and relaxing farm stay. If this is your type of accomodation it is perfect.

Surroundings are so peaceful! We had a small kitchen and a terrasse to make and enjoy our own food. Parking was possible on the premises. We had a good time!

Casale Micale is a wonderful place to stay if you’re planning on exploring the eastern side of Sicily. The location is great if you’re travelling by car, close to beautiful city of Noto, but far enough to enjoy the peaceful and silent evenings. The building itself is newly restored and designed with a really good taste. We had a beautiful room with stone walls and a view of a garden and the sea in the distance. In the morning, we enjoyed breakfasts under the olive tree, with a vast choice of sweet and savoury products. Salvatore with his family were friendly and helpful as well, open to our suggestions on the breakfast time. Couldn’t recommend this place more.

Set in Chiaramonte Gulfi, 26 km from Castello di Donnafugata, Poggio del Gallo offers air-conditioned accommodation and pool with a view.

Davide prepared absolutely delicious 4- course dinners for us, which were simply a dream. Cristina’s breakfast was fantastic, with several kinds of cheese, fresh fruit, freshly made fruit juice, croissants, delicious cappuccino… Both treated us like old friends. They also took us to the local olive mill so we could watch the fascinating process of olive oil making. The location is calm and relaxing - in the countryside, only the sound of cicadas. There are also some lovely dogs.
