It is a great location to use as home base to explore other hill towns in and near Tuscany, including Montepulciano, Sarteano, Cortona and Assisi. Our host, Vilmo Barbi, was quite charming and extremely proud of his farm. He is the third generation to actively work the farm. And Monticchiello, the local town, is absolutely stunning. The Agriturismo is a Fantastic place! Our room was beautiful and Mino, the caretaker, was wonderful, treating us to a delicious bottle of the wine he makes from his own vineyard.
