I loved to spend some time on the observation deck or talking to the hosts. Breakfast was very good with fresh fruit and eggs from the farm. It doesn’t get much better than this! This is an actual farm with animals and - very friendly - dogs. It‘s less than a 20-minute drive from Filandia, the last 2km on an unpaved road that is easily manageable, even for small cars.

The effort to get there from Filandia involved two jeep rides, but we are glad we got off the beaten track. Once at the hotel transportation to town was easy. In addition there were frequent buses to a trailhead which accessed a number of waterfalls. Plus the hosts were very hospitable and shared valuable information. We will return.

From the moment you arrive you feel at home. Don Ricardo and Doña Claudia are warm and kind people, making sure you enjoy your time. The place has really friendly and cheerful dogs and other animals. Don Ricardo usually organizes trekkings in the nature with the dogs, really recommended! One of the best places I have ever been.
