Heuwelsig Farm Cottages offers self-catering accommodation on a working wine farm, just outside Franschhoek, only an hour drive from Cape Town. The loft was so beautiful and elegantly designed and decorated! It was very comfortable and had everything one could need. It was peaceful and close to the main part of Franschhoek town. We will definitely be there again!

Located 7 km from the town of Stellenbosch, Gemoedsrus Farm features views of the surrounding winelands and offers amenities including an outdoor swimming pool and barbecue facilities. Our host Linda was fabulous. ! And Christine from the staff was so lovely.

A tranquil environment with plenty of birdlife and things to do, not only on the property but in the surrounding area as well. Superb service and plenty of privacy. Very responsive to all your needs. Would be back in a heart beat!

The scenery was absolute perfection!! The pleasant scents from the diffusers, hand soaps and body wash (I actually took snaps of the bottles because I have to have!). The hosts together with Amanda the caretaker were also so accommodating allowing us to check in early and check out later. An absolute gem!!! We will definitely be coming back!

I don’t believe there is a thing the owners haven’t thought of to make the stay more comfortable. The cottages are beautifully decorated and faultlessly clean …. Fresh eggs, branded products, wine in the fridge …. This is our second stay and I am planning the return.
