The isolated location of this boutique hotel, the history of this old building, the garden with peacocks, the beauty and comfort of the family suit, everything was so exceptional. Benedicte, the owner of the hotel, was so nice, she met us, gave us a few advises on the restaurant and the city. The breakfast was so good. We really enjoyed our stay and we would certainly love to return.

In particular, Ms. Michela B. is an exceptional hotelier who went above and beyond our expectations to make our stay comfortable, relaxed, and memorable. They also have a top-notch Italian restaurant and an excellent bar with a well-qualified mixologist. The rooms and facilities are spotless. The location is excellent and we could walk everywhere. No need to use public transportation. Our room was very clean, spacious and the bed was extremely big and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of variety of sweet and savory. The best thing though is the stuff. You can't find more helpful people! They arranged our taxi and even loaded our bagages before we had even arrived at the parking area outside the hotel!

The beautifully restored chateau with its honey stonework looks stunning in its setting in the Beaujolais countryside. We enjoyed the 4 course meal in Le 1217 restaurant in the chateau dining room. The outside pool is delightful surrounded by cherry trees. Bagnols village is cute with its own bar restaurant as an alternative dining option.
