The location and property were both lovely - very quiet and relaxing. Lowry was also lovely and very welcoming.

Well designed and creatively decorated, the manorhaus was an absolute treat to us pair of walkers on nearby Offa’s Dyke. Instructions are very clear on how to access the property by the keypad. The room and bed were extremely comfortable and quiet. Best of all was meeting the hospitable Gavin, the proprietor, who not only sets a chic atmosphere, but cooks up a fantastic breakfast. We’d happily stay here again!

Every single member of staff greeted us with warmth and genuine enthusiasm. They had the perfect balance between friendly and professional. The food was exquisite - the produce superb and each component of every dish was prepared to perfection and brought together with great skill. My only suggestion would be to serve some warm bread with meals like many parts of Europe. As the food style is quite minimal (think Michelin) a little bread would fill that gap! The rooms are flawless in design and execution. Soft fluffy towels in new but classically styled bathrooms. Super comfortable beds and two styles of pillows. Thoughtful touches like fresh milk and biscuits for tea and still and sparkling water refreshed daily. The entire house is decorated with great taste in period decor. You feel like the Lord and Lady of the house! The gardens and sunsets are to behold. You cannot possibly be disappointed with this magnificent property.

Absolutely beautiful place, gorgeous living room then bedroom with shower room and the view from the bedroom window is stunning overlooking the river dee. You have to go downstairs to the kitchen and what a beautiful kitchen just everything you could possibly need for self catering and lovely and cosy. You go out the backdoor down a few steps to a shed and open the door into a little room with seats then you open another door and it's the most beautiful secret garden where you can sit overlooking the river just stunning. We stayed for two nights everything was lovely and comfortable will definitely book again we love Llangollen.

Fantastic location with amazing views of the Dee valley and easy access to attractions in the area and slightly further afield to Conwy and Snowdonia. Accommodation was a modern luxury take on a traditional cottage, the best of both worlds.
