It was fantastic, the villa was amazing. We had the electric moving bed.

The first impression before we saw the hotel inside was mixed: a rural street; where is the hotel? But the idea of this hotel where the floors and villas are going down is impressive and fabulous. Brilliant kitchen, perfect room, a lot of compliments, and really great staff. And the show that the hotel organized was stunning. My special gratitude to Kartika; she is fantastic. It is the second time of dozens of reviews when I decided to mark the hotel with 10/10.

This place is absolutely gorgeous and amazing. Catherine and Laurent, the owners, created a luxurious little paradise in a very quite and beautiful location in northeast Bali. You will not find a better place to relax and enjoy the time. We spent 4 days in this magnificent place and we regretted that we had to leave. Catherine, Laurent and their staff provided an outstanding and exceptional service. Everyone is so welcoming we felt immediately being „home“. The owners and staff are amazing and are going above and beyond to make every moment of our stay perfect. The breakfast and dinners are excellent and delicious. From the moment of arrival, we felt instantly relaxed and excited to begin our holiday. It was lovely chatting to the Resort Manager Puspa and hearing stories about the Buahan journey thus far from an insider's point of view. Buahan's commitment to sustainability, fostering community and encouraging guests to be at one with nature are highly commendable. For us it's the amazing people, exceptional food and unique experiences that made our stay truly wonderful and unforgettable. A special mention goes to De Gus, our host who was professional, friendly, engaging and always anticipated our needs. On numerous occasions he went out his way to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Special thanks to Chef Eka and Chef Agus for the mouth watering meals they prepared for us. We love the concept of 70% plant based, and also the opportunity to go foraging for ingredients, we have learnt so much! A few tips and must do's to share based on our experience: - Tjampuhan Waterfall Trek --> Descend down gravel pathways and you'll be rewarded with Buahan's own private waterfall, beautiful and mesmerising. - Pop-up lunch at Tegal Dukuh, Taro Village --> The perfect blend of culture, adventure, education and of course, delicious food. - Yoga @ the Pavilion --> Best way to start your day, breathe in the peace and tranquility, practising yoga amongst the lush forest and greenery. - Cocktail hour @ Botanist Bar --> Enjoy the 'Salak' Cocktail (whiskey sour with a Buahan twist!) during sunset - Subak Buahan Trek --> A delightful trek exploring local plants and flora, finishing with a stroll through paddy rice fields. Last but not least, if you're reading this review and researching a resort to stay at in Bali, look no further and book Buahan - it is truly one of a kind, an experience like no other!

This is an exceptional property that we will most definitely stay at again. The pool is second to none. The setting is stunning with many walking paths and several activities to try.

What an amazing place!! A true exotic paradise location! Beautifully set, high in the mountains, this new built mini-resort provides all you need to experience the serenity, fantastic nature and friendly ways of local people. The bamboo cabin is so pretty, neat and comfortable - a large bed with a canopy and moskito curtains (not at all needed in February!), lovely wooden furniture, the bamboo finish and the lovely bathroom surrounded with the view of the local greenery and the mountains. Unforgettable. Eating area under a roof with 360 views of the surrounding nature, the beatutiful pool, fire place area and the vegetable garden for the needs of the resort's kitchen. The team is really nice, with a good knowledge of English and catering for any needs, including transfers, local trips and food requests. Local people are most friendly. They live modestly but are so rich through their culture and religious rituals, architecture and devotion! A real privilege to be a witness of some of it. A half day trip to the natural water slide, Sekumpul and Fiji waterfalls, cliff jump and the trek across the rice fields and the woodland - a once in a lifetime experience. Amazing views, overwhelming sense of power of nature and how local people have learned to peacefully harness it to their needs. A truly wholesome experience!

This place is an amazing spot with gorgeous sea views. The hosts, Will and Vera, are super friendly and make you feel right at home. The staff are attentive, and the vibe is beautiful and relaxing, with great attention to detail. The food is fantastic, made fresh every day right from their organic garden. Be sure to treat yourself to some incredible massages that will leave you feeling relaxed. I cannot wait to return to this piece of paradise.

Just fabulous and relaxing - wish we had planned to stay longer

Excellent view to the rice terraces , close to the lake mount batur and waterfalls (that i totally recommend) Breakfast choices were cast and excellent, both breakfast and other meals. Staff very nice always helpfull, also enjoyed the spa and gym.
