The staff were lovely esp as we do not speak Japanese they tried really hard to communicate. The meals were exceptional - delicious, light, full of flavour incorporating many local ingredients. Our room was traditional style and this was exactly the experience we wanted

The whole facility is amazing. The staff was also very patient and kind even though I believe I broke a rule (staying too late in the morning). The food is also exceptional. This was a really good first time Ryokan experience for me and I will definitely be back when I return to Japan.
