The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The hotel was spotless and with a premium feel. Yukatas have been included with all the necessary toiletries, and the open air bath was spot on. Also free reservations of the hotel's private baths are available, even if you have a bath in your room. Some drinks were provided free of charge (coffee, tea, beers, juice, etc...), and a platter of fruits, too (seasonal). We had western style beds, but we opted to sleep on tatami beds, it was an interesting experience. They offer free shuttle service both to the train station and to reataurants, which is very welcome given the location on the hill.

We are grateful for the smiling faces and so helpful. You took extra attention to the child’s meal. All dishes for adult and kid’s meals were excellent. The hotel car rides were most helpful. This is the best hotel I have been to. Rooms are spacious and comfortable with a desk to work. The hotel has multiple restaurants which are included in the breakfast option. Reaching the hotel is really easy through the portline which has a stop in front of the hotel but also thanks to the shuttle bus which goes every 30min from the central station and shinkansen station to the hotel (and vice versa) for free.

A true 5 star hotel like they used to be with incredible customer service and facilities. Great swimming pool, restaurants and food. Shuttle bus service to and from the main local train station was very convenient and for free before check in and after check out. I would definitely go back next time I visit Kobe.

It has the atmosphere and coziness that only an older 5-star hotel would offer. Great location beside the port and within walking distance to Motomachi shopping area, with amazing night views from the room. Excellent breakfast and commendable service.

It’s understated but in a nice way. Staff are very helpful and welcoming. The private Onsen is so relaxing. It’s a luxury to have it all to yourself. We booked a Kaiseki dinner and it was amazing! A big thank you to the Executive chef Yoshihiro Ogasawara!

Great view of the city Kobe from the window in my room. It was fantastic view! Also hotel is 5 star and very good service and facilities. Only there is some hotel staff wasn't nice to us without reason at restaurant. He was very nice to other Japanese guest who looks like many years customer of this hotel. That's was only issue. All other staff were very very nice. I like this hotel service more than Okura Tokyo.

Everything! This hotel felt like a 5 star hotel. Absolutely perfect! I highly recommend you to book this hotel at your next stay in Kobe. Family friendly, perfect for couple honeymoons, etc. Their breakfast was also amazing. A buffet style where you have so much to choose from! Both western and Japanese style food available. The hotel premises was massive! Such an amazing view too no matte which hotel room you get. It really made our Kobe stay memorable.
