We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Golden Crown Hotel in Ampitiya and was blown away by the exceptional service provided by the General Manager and his team. From the moment I arrived, they went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was nothing short of perfect. Their attention to detail and genuine care for their guests - truly commendable. The hotel itself is stunning, with beautiful views and immaculate facilities, but it was the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the General Manager that truly made my stay memorable. His professionalism and dedication to providing top-notch service is a true asset to the hotel. I would highly recommend the Golden Crown Hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay in Kandy. Thank you to the General Manager and his team for an unforgettable experience.

An incredible view and a staff to match! The hotel may seem a bit austere at first, with a few small shortcomings (for example, a reading lamp by each bed would be nice), but nothing essential. The staff and service are excellent, and the manager is very involved — he asks for feedback every day and genuinely cares about guests’ comfort. Although the hotel is a little farther from the city, the distance is more than compensated by the stunning view, fresh air, and peaceful atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend Madu’s cooking! He’s an excellent chef — the beef is delicious (even if it’s not Argentinian), and the soup, his specialty, is outstanding. I doubt I’ll ever return to Kandy, but if I do, this is definitely where I’ll stay again.

First i would like to say that we don't like typical crowded hotels. I travel with my husband and we love nature and tranquility.. so villa with mountain view was the best way to relax. The staff met us with smiles, all were very friendly and positive. The villa was spacious with comfortable bed and the terrace with a pool was wonderful to chill. Feeling like we were alone at the hotel ...enjoying warm wind, bird's singing and squirrels around. Special thanks to the cook and two men at the restaurant. All the meal we tried was delicious and made with love. We really felt it and appreciated. Definitely will return one day! All the best🤍

I loved everything about the property. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The owner was so lovely. We had some great chats! The whole place was bright white spotless and smelt beautiful. EVERYTHING! it is a small hotel, located in a remote area, quiet, on the lake. The room was big, with a very comfortable bed, huge bathroom with both shower and tub. The terrace of the room offers spectacular view over the pool and lake. The food was very good, we ate here breakfast, lunch and dinner and we liked all meals! It offers an a la carte menu which we liked very much, we were sick of buffet style ... We tried also the massages, which were pretty nice as well. Last but not least, the personnel was very kind, attentive and always happy to help you with anything you want. They offer you a personal butler which is available anytime for you at a ring distance (they even give you a phone to call him directly when you need anything).

We had a very pleasant stay at Simpson’s. As usual in Sri Lanka the kindness of the staff is beyond anything. We had a great room with views of the mountains. The infinity pool is breathtaking. We also did one of the hikes that they offered in the morning and learned about the estate. The food does not look like the one advertised but it’s still good. This hotel has by far the fastest WiFi in all of the island. It’s great value for the price!
