Five-Star Hotels in Akumal

Absolutely everything about this resort is incredible!! We were celebrating our honeymoon and it was magical spending our time in secrets Akumal. Everything is done to perfection and that’s all thanks to the amazing staff they have. We loved seeing the entertainment team everyday and getting involved in all of their activities. Max, jonas, Abraham and Gina were amazing ❤️ The food and drinks in the resort were such high quality. We loved the pizza by the pool and also loved the grill for dinner! We snorkelled with the turtles which I’d highly recommend! Amazing experience! Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so incredibly enjoyable. We didn’t stop smiling the entire trip and we have memories forever!

The hotel was incredible and staff fabulous. The butlers in villa70 went above and beyond to help make it a special experience, a huge thank you to all the team in Capricho restaurant (the breakfast and lunch service so special) and I would recommend upgrading to the premium experience, Ivan around the pool really looked after us and it's really worth it for all the added benefits.

Fantastic All-Inclusive Experience at Grand Sirenis Resort and Spa! We recently stayed at Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Resort & Spa and had a wonderful time from start to finish. The resort’s grounds are beautifully maintained — filled with tropical gardens, wildlife, and numerous pools — creating a really restful and secluded atmosphere. The food was a highlight for us. The main buffet offered a huge variety every day, with plenty of fresh fruits, salads, seafood, and international options to keep everyone happy. The a la carte restaurants, especially the Japanese and Italian, were a real treat — great food, wonderful service, and a chance to try something different each night. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed, from a mini-fridge restocked daily to a large soaking tub. The spa was a lovely spot to ease away stress, with a range of treatments in a tranquil setting. Overall, Grand Sirenis offers a perfect blend of relaxation, activity, and indulgence for couples. We’re already looking forward to a return trip. All the rooms have pool, they have the nicest staff we've seen in Cancun, nice alcohol (Jack Daniel's, black label, bacardi, aperol, etc)

Food variety and choice were top class.

I have been to the Riviera Maya 6 times and stayed at different hotels, twice at El Dorado Royale, once at at Valentin Imperial, once at an all inclusive in Cancun Hotel area but can’t remember the name. I usually go as a couple and we spend a bit more, this time I brought my mum and gran and so I payed the bill but I still wanted a similar or same experience, I was hesitant to book this hotel as it had more mixed reviews but overall was cheaper then the others and after thorough reading I decided to give this a go. I have to say there is not a lot to worry about! and totally worth it, definitely good value. if you are someone that is used to extremely good service you may be a bit annoyed that the golf cart to take you to your room takes 10mins rather than immediate or that the app to book the a la Carte restaurants isn’t great, if you are a bit like that and complain about the smallest of things go somewhere else that costs a bit more. Overall I believe it was really good value, there are three hotels in one, two large areas with pools, and one that has a kid area. It’s a bit of an eco hotel, so there’s a lot of iguanas, tropical birds, Coatis, Sereques and we even spotted some racoons late at night, if you or your kids love animals and nature this is the most ‘at nature’ I felt in all the resorts. In this hotel there are a lot more Buffets than others which is also great for eating what you want when you want and running back to the pool or beach. The drinks are better at other resorts but beer was good and spirit+mixer, cocktails were a bit hit and miss but who cares. A lot of the restaurants were fully booked when we arrived for the weekend, such as the Japanese, but we just booked something else and we were impressed, the food at El Dorado Royale is amazing, here it is really good, but if you don’t mind paying more then the other one is better for food.
