Looking for a five-star hotel?

When the accommodation is just as important as the destination, a five-star stay should give that extra ‘wow’ factor as you enter the lobby. As well as offering the kind of service to make you feel like royalty, you’ll usually find highly rated on-site spas, gourmet restaurants and top-of-the-line beds you won’t want to get out of.

The property and the staff there gave us such unique and luxurious experience at the Mount Cook. The scenery, the meals we enjoyed in our villa was top notch.

Location has excellent views. View of lake and mountains was exceptional. Room (given the rate) was more like a modern clean motel than a luxurious lodge. I fully appreciate what the owners are trying to do but it falls short on a global scale. Our hosts were very courteous. Dining again was pleasant but fell short of expectations. The food was above average but not excellent. The dining room was very basic and again, given the ambiance and experience the owners are trying to achieve, fell short.
