Gloriously over the top decor. Friendly helpful staff. Landmark building. Great little ensuite with brass taps, rain shower, heated towel rail, snuggly bathrobe, thirsty towels, really intelligent lifts. Good flat walk into town, botanical gardens, transport. Luxurious breakfast.

    The common areas are impressive but I can’t say the same about our room. Even though it was beautiful, it was not a 5 star hotel room. I think they could have some food for free in the room but everything is paid.
