Seeing the mix of the aged building and the style was fantastic and very well done. The location and grounds were also kept in very good order. It was a shame we only stayed one night!

Located in a beautiful green park, La Butte aux Bois a Small Luxury Hotel of the World is a stylish hotel from 1924 with luxurious rooms and an elegant restaurant at the entrance of National Park Hoge Kempen. A great stay as always at the Butte aux Bois, and very difficult to leave after only one night! The hotel is immaculate and beautiful, the spa is pristine and relaxing, and the staff are extremely courteous and attentive. The perfect hotel.

    All areas were beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean and well cared for. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very well appointed and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant twice and the food and service was superb. It was close to all shops, restaurants and places of interest.

    Superb hosts, a real family business in a quiet little village! Great food in the restaurant (choose the chef's menu, no doubt), good breakfast buffet. Lovely garden with an in ground heated swimming pool (perfect for relaxing after a hot day). In the room beds with really good pillows/mattress, smart tv and a more than welcome A/C unit. Wish I stayed longer instead of moving on!
