Delicious food, friendly people around, very fast laundry service. Staff around was surprisingly helpful (during our entire stay we did not meet anyone who would not help us solve any issue), who try to help with the help of telephone interpreters, even if they do not understand you. Separately, we would like to mention our supervisor Johnson - the only employee in the hotel who ideally understood us and communicated with us in fluent English. Most of our issues were solved with his help on any day, even late at night or on those days when he had days off.

I have had to catch flights early in the morning or late in the evening multiple times at Shanghai Pudong airport and I always had to stay at a hotel which is not located in the airport itself. To my surprise, I decided to give it a go at the Holiday Inn and I was blown away by this hotel. It's conveniently located between terminal 1 and 2, so no need to exit the airport. The facilities are brand new, the hotel is extremely clean, the rooms are huge and they even let you "park" your trolley outside the room so you don't have to drag your luggage around when you have to catch your flight. The staff were super helpful and I was very impressed by this new hotel. I have stayed in more hotels in China than I can count and I will definitely stay here again.

The location was perfect, quiet neighbourhood with restaurants, small fresh fruit store and in the same time walking distance to The Bund. The most important factor was English customer service. They were not only focused on hotel services but also helped us a lot with travellers challenges in China, which was far beyond their duties. Special appreciation to Jeroen from front desk. The rooms were comfy, modern style, very clean, including bathroom. Air-conditioning was easy to control, adjusted to our preferences. The breakfasts were variable, with selection of European and Asian options, great for a active sightseeing day. Our recommendation is to choose taxi services from airport to hotel for your comfort, it is offered in a good price

Featuring a bar, the hotel is close to several noted attractions, around 500 metres from Pedestrian Street of East Nanjing Rd. And around 500 metres from People's Square. The hotel offers city views, a terrace and a 24-hour front desk. The hotel is renovated from a historical building. While the external looks like old Shanghai style, the facility in room is modern and smart. Color mode is white and black, but makes you feel very warm. The staff are all super friendly, especially a girl named Vicky. The bar on top floor is also great, with good view and chilled atmosphere.

Blending culture and nature, it is now home to Shangri-La Qiantan, Shanghai. The location is very convenient and can order take-away. The inner decoration is exceptional and the room is very baby friendly. Staff are really nice and kind.

Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport is 19 km away. The J Hotel Shanghai Tower delivers a truly elevated experience, both literally and figuratively. My upgraded Stateroom was a showcase of refined modern luxury, with a glossy dark floor, cream and gold accents, a superbly comfortable bed, and an elegant bathroom featuring a marble-bench rain shower and sculptural bathtub. Every detail was thoughtfully considered – from the Nespresso machine and premium minibar to whisper-quiet climate control and fully electronic curtains and lighting. The views over the Huangpu River and Shanghai’s skyline, especially by day, were simply breathtaking. Breakfast was outstanding, combining a refined buffet with à la carte options, fresh berries, multiple nut varieties, unsweetened yoghurt, and exceptional service. Staff throughout the stay were attentive without intrusion, anticipating needs before they were voiced. The bar offered spectacular river views, superb cocktails, and a refined atmosphere once the live music began. A takeaway breakfast box prepared for my early departure was beautifully presented and freshly made – a wonderful gesture.
