The highlight though is the owner, a generous and helpful person who will go out of his way to provide for your needs. The fact that he speaks perfect English is a bonus too! It's a beautifully renovated, historic hotel right in the middle of old Kunming --- right where you want to be to explore the city. The rooms have been very nicely refurbished and the hotel staff were so kind with restaurant recommendations and other tips. For example, I loved the longan, date, and wolfberry tea that they prepare for guests in their rooms and so I asked where I could purchase it. Instead the manager even generously helped me to get the right ingredients to take home so I can make it myself!! Really above and beyond.

By the way, their hotel also has a translation machine that can translate languages from dozens of countries, and can basically communicate face-to-face without barriers. Satisfied!

Set by Erhai lakeside, Hotel Indigo Dali Erhai offers accommodation just a 10-minute walk from Erhai Park. Free WiFi is available in all areas and the property boasts a fitness centre. 10/10! Location, facility, staff... evening is beyond expectations. We stayed three times, and really appreciate the late check out and early check in offered by the staff on two occasions respectively. Will certainly go back again!

The housekeeper warmly entertained us, was responsive to all requests and answered all questions, making us feel at home. There is a private parking lot, free charging piles, and a laundry room. There is an elevator on all four floors. The young men and women at the inn greet us warmly when we enter and leave, and they help us make travel plans to avoid tourist traps. The environment of the store is simply breathtaking. The stay experience was wonderful, and I highly recommend it!
