The staff is incredible especially at the main restaurant near lobby! They went above and beyond for us when we wanted sushi and prepare it specially. We stayed at Cayena by Masaya after visiting Tayrona Park, and it was exactly what we needed to relax and unwind. The staff were all incredibly friendly and professional, from the reception to the restaurant team. The hotel has only a few rooms, which made it feel peaceful and never crowded—we always found a great spot to lounge by the beautiful, large pool (perfect for a proper swim). There’s also a covered area with yoga equipment, and we loved starting the day with a beach-front workout. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a super comfy bed, working AC, hot water, and complimentary refillable drinking water. The restaurant was a highlight—breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all delicious, and the à la carte prices were very reasonable, so we were happy to eat at the hotel. There are beds on the beach, but we mostly stayed by the pool since the ocean had big waves and a small sandy area during our visit (great for surfers, though). Overall, we had a perfect stay and would absolutely recommend Cayena for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful, relaxing setting.

We liked the size of the room, the staff are kind, helpful, and courteous, the pool and sauna are very pleasant, and the room is quiet despite being in the central area of the historic district with many restaurants and bars nearby.

Speaking of meals, the food is absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort and great hospitality!
