Perfect place to chill out for 8 nights after the crazy city of Bogata. The staff and owners treated me like family. Good food, nice pool and hot tube(cold tub)! Up at 1000 feet in elevation it never felt to hot. The monkeys, birds and frog sounds were amazing. They hired a guide for me to go hiking in the Tayrona national park ,which was beautiful, with a much needed swim once we got to a safe beach. Highly recommend Tawaca if you just want to relax and take in the peace of the mountains.

Hotel Boutique Maree has an outdoor swimming pool, bar, a shared lounge and garden in Santa Marta. Boasting a concierge service, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. The staff is incredibly friendly, especially at the restaurant and reception. We were running very late to the airport and they managed to prepare our breakfast in just 5 minutes amazing service! Very, very recommended!

We stayed at Cayena by Masaya after visiting Tayrona Park, and it was exactly what we needed to relax and unwind. The staff were all incredibly friendly and professional, from the reception to the restaurant team. The hotel has only a few rooms, which made it feel peaceful and never crowded—we always found a great spot to lounge by the beautiful, large pool (perfect for a proper swim). There’s also a covered area with yoga equipment, and we loved starting the day with a beach-front workout. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a super comfy bed, working AC, hot water, and complimentary refillable drinking water. The restaurant was a highlight—breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all delicious, and the à la carte prices were very reasonable, so we were happy to eat at the hotel. There are beds on the beach, but we mostly stayed by the pool since the ocean had big waves and a small sandy area during our visit (great for surfers, though). Overall, we had a perfect stay and would absolutely recommend Cayena for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful, relaxing setting.
