Everything! The most relaxing, luxurious getaway. The staff is incredible especially at the main restaurant near lobby! They went above and beyond for us when we wanted sushi and prepare it specially. The room was impeccable and the pool very relaxing.

Located 100 metres from the beach, Hotel Irotama Lago offers on-site marine activities, 3 outdoor swimming pools and a spa and fitness centre. WiFi is available. Activities for children are organised.... Amazing hotel! Great costumer service, clean and updated rooms.

El Santuario was the perfect home base for exploring Minca! Nora and José Luis have obviously put a lot of love into their hotel- they were exceptionally kind and provided us with everything we needed during our stay. We split three rooms between 5 friends, which was totally comfortable for us. We started every morning taking in the stunning views while enjoying a delicious home cooked breakfast- the birdwatching is unparalleled to any place I’ve visited before! It’s a quick 10 minute drive to the center of Minca- we had a car, but the hotel will happily arrange a mototaxi for you, which I took advantage of as i chose to stay an extra night after my travel mates departed. We ended our evenings using the ample common areas to sip tequila and reflect on our adventures. The evenings were cool enough that we wouldn’t have used a/c even if it was available. Of course there are some bugs, but what else would you expect staying in a rustic town in the middle of the jungle?? Other reviewers noting this as a con are obviously unused to accommodations that strive to be as ecologically mindful as possible to their natural environments. Hotel Boutique Maree has an outdoor swimming pool, bar, a shared lounge and garden in Santa Marta. Boasting a concierge service, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. Large comfortable rooms with good beds. Upper deck pool area is very nice. Breakfast was excellent. Although close to cento, we did hear any of the late night activities.

We stayed at Cayena by Masaya after visiting Tayrona Park, and it was exactly what we needed to relax and unwind. The staff were all incredibly friendly and professional, from the reception to the restaurant team. The hotel has only a few rooms, which made it feel peaceful and never crowded—we always found a great spot to lounge by the beautiful, large pool (perfect for a proper swim). There’s also a covered area with yoga equipment, and we loved starting the day with a beach-front workout. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a super comfy bed, working AC, hot water, and complimentary refillable drinking water. The restaurant was a highlight—breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all delicious, and the à la carte prices were very reasonable, so we were happy to eat at the hotel. There are beds on the beach, but we mostly stayed by the pool since the ocean had big waves and a small sandy area during our visit (great for surfers, though). Overall, we had a perfect stay and would absolutely recommend Cayena for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful, relaxing setting.

A lovely little place! Very peaceful, quiet and with nice views of the sea and hills. Laura and her mother (homemade juice and dulces for breakfast) really do everything they can for their guests, so very helpful and kind. Laura, always eager to help and very quick to respond, helped us arrange a trip to Tayrona and picked us up when we returned from the rather adventurous boat ride from there. Also helped with taxis and Marisol bus to Cartagena. Nice to talk to and very good English. We really enjoyed our stay and wished it could have lasted longer. Taganga is still a rather genuine fishing village, so don't expect a village adapted to tourism.

We recently stayed at Placita Vieja Hotel, located right in the heart of Santa Marta’s Parque de los Novios, and we absolutely loved our experience. I went with my girlfriend, and from the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for. The location couldn’t be better — peaceful and quiet inside, yet just steps away from the vibrant atmosphere of the park. The hotel itself has a calm, intimate vibe that made it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff were truly outstanding: highly professional, friendly, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Special thanks to Miriam, who went out of her way to make sure our breakfast was exactly to our taste every morning, and to Fernando, the administrator, who is not only a great professional but also a wonderful conversationalist. If you’re visiting Santa Marta and want a place that combines perfect location, comfort, and exceptional service, Placita Vieja is an excellent choice.

La Mar de Bien offers beachfront accommodations in Buritaca. The property features an outdoor pool. Guestrooms at this holiday home are luminous and feature wide windows overlooking the garden. We enjoyed the excellent service, the always helpful staff and the delicious food.
