We were happy to see that Koora exceeded our excpectations on multiple levels! We travel a lot, so this is in comparison to some of the best hotels worldwide! Amazing room, excellent front desk and restaurant service personnel, tasty fresh food, lovely grounds with coaty and aguti greeting us.

Hotel Belmar is located in Monteverde, Costa Rica, features a unique restaurant with on-site brewery and a juice bar; also it has an organic garden and certification on sustainability. Everything was absolutely dreamy. We chose Belmar to start our honeymoon off and we couldn’t have picked better. We loved our Peninsula Superior room with an amazing bathtub with a view. The food was glorious. We loved the “garden to plate” concept. We did a beer tasting at the brewery and it was great, too. My husband was so happy! The hotel staff was incredibly polite and helpful; they helped us book a wonderful excursion to the cloud forest with a picnic breakfast up in the canopy as well as a guided tour. Our guide, Daniel, was very knowledgable and had a great sense of humour. I also particularly loved the organic cosmetics provided for us (the vanilla, lavender and pepper shower gel was seriously to die for) as well as lots of amazing beverages from the room fridge including organic iced teas, kombucha and pale ale. There was no air con in the room which I loved as it tends to make me ill usually — the temperature at night was between 16-18 degrees and we slept with open windows, listening to the jungle sounds. Can you think of anything better?!

The hotel assigned us a staff member, Gary, a courteous professional with an amazing sense of service and tourism. Gary accompanied us for another two or three weeks before arrival, offered us service, and was available for any questions and requests even during our stay.
