Falsled Kro, five-star hotel in Millinge

Set in Millinge, 26 km from Carl Nielsen's Childhood Home, Falsled Kro offers accommodation with a fitness centre, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Offering a restaurant, the property also has a bar, as well as a sauna and a hot tub. The accommodation provides room service, and luggage storage for guests.

The area is popular for hiking and cycling, and bike hire is available at this 5-star hotel. We travelled to Denmark, and made a trip in two parts. The first part was an exploration of Funen, with Falsled Kro as our basis. But Falsled Kro was a jewel to discover by itself. We can say a lot, or we can say nothing and rest in wonder. This is a magical place, with lovely and very helpful people, who immediately made you feel at home. And the cuisine, morning or evening, was above expectations. 11/10, and we'll be back someday :).

    Everyone on staff is top drawer professional. Nothing was beyond them. Room was very nice, with plenty of linens and comfortable bedding and the renovation for this 130 year old elegant hotel is superb. The Bar is handy with a full range of drinks; alcoholic and otherwise, and the dining room is stellar for both breakfast and dinner.

    Wonderful rural area, super close to Faaborg, but in the country. It has a huge meadow-like grounds and the historic quality of an old farm. Rooms were simple and straightforward. Those looking for luxury should try elsewhere, but it had a nice honesty and simplicity about it. The property owner was very sociable and spent time chatting to all the guests.
