I initially booked a room, which was comfortable and well-appointed, but I decided to upgrade to one of the chalets—and it turned out to be the best decision. The chalet was spectacular, offering luxurious interiors and a prime location right on the beach. Falling asleep to the sound of waves and waking up to the sunrise over the sea was pure magic. The service was impeccable, with the staff going above and beyond to cater to every need. The breakfast included in the stay was exceptional, with a wide array of delicious options that could be enjoyed in various picturesque spots around the hotel—or even delivered directly to the chalet for a more private experience. A unique and fascinating aspect of the hotel is that it belongs to the Egyptian Navy, and the entire security team is composed of navy personnel. This ensured an unparalleled sense of safety during my stay. In fact, I accidentally left my chalet door open for an entire day, with valuable items inside, and not once did I worry. The navy guards’ discipline and professionalism were evident, and it was clear that no one would dare approach the room without permission. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Fakr Al Behar, a 101-year-old historic boat docked at the hotel marina. This magnificent vessel once belonged to King Farouk and is steeped in history. Its name, which translates to “Pride of the Seas,” is a testament to its grandeur and importance. The boat served as a royal retreat, hosting important guests and events during its time. Today, it stands as a remarkable symbol of Egypt’s rich maritime heritage. We enjoyed a delightful lunch onboard, surrounded by the boat’s regal ambiance, followed by an exclusive guided tour of its interiors. Exploring the king’s quarters and the intricate details of this historic masterpiece was an unforgettable experience.

All the rooms of the Helnan Palestine are spacious and offer luxurious furnishings. They feature oriental carpeting, hot drink facility and a satellite TV. Some rooms look out on the historic Montaza Palace. The hotel has the nicest and most helpful and smiley staff and receptionists. The hotel was outstanding in every way. The place was clean, spacious, and had great service. The food was excellent, and attentive and effective service was provided. Above all, it has a very fantastic location with a sea view.
