Nestled within 12 acres of picturesque Wiltshire countryside, this hotel is a stylish venue where you can relax and revive. Our 5-day stay at Whatley Manor was beyond exceptional. I am hard put to find words to convey how blissful we felt. The enchanting grounds/park/gardens, the hard-to-believe set of buildings that constitute the hotel, the amazingly comfy lounges, bars, restaurants, rooms, not to mention the spa and swimming-pool, and - cherry on a gorgeous pie - the staff. In such a top-notch hotel environment, they all accomplish the amazing feat of being perfect, without… doing too much, if I can put it that way. And the smiles! They put one on your face, too, all day long. Shall I mention the stunning Cotswolds region? The jaw-dropping honey-coloured 17th-century villages. Well, if heaven had a specific address, that could be it.

The building itself is exceptional, the rooms are beautiful, she water pressure in the showers is top notch, the food was divine, the open fire places in the lounges were beautifully lit in the evenings, and as for the service, wow!!! We can highly recommend this hotel!!!

Lovely property, room was well appointed, heated floors and extra delight. The restaurant was a highlight- delicious dinner and breakfast and great service.

Steeped in history and boasting 5 stars with a 90-acre estate, Ellenborough Park is nestled between the Cotswolds’ highest point and the gallops of Cheltenham Racecourse. Staff was wonderful! Five stars and more! Took extra time to give us an historical tour, showing us Oliver Cromwell's alleged musket holes on the ancient front door and other oddities and delights. Drove our rental car to our room so we wouldn't have to search for it. Made us feel relaxed, welcome, and comfortable. Enjoyed the meals, the pool, and the lovely common areas. My 8 year old daughter and I loved playing chess and drinking tea and hot chocolate while eating dessert in the beautiful lounge, with Katherine Parr's portrait peering down at us. We traveled for a month in the UK and France, and this was our favorite hotel. So much to see and do: swimming, hiking, lounging. My daughter was obsessed with the full-size chess board outside, although we didn't have time to play that set. Compared to where we live in N CA, this place was also a remarkable value! We paid $350 which included the breakfast (there's a wonderful buffet in addition to the hot breakfast), and a 110 pound dinner allowance. You couldn't stay in a Courtyard for that where we live.

Old Stocks Inn ligger i hjertet af Stow-on-the-Wold. Overnatningsstedet er en nyrenoveret landevejskro fra det 17. århundrede med udsigt til den grønne have, hvor der stadig står gamle gabestokke. Very comfortable and clean. Excellent location. Private parking was a great asset in this town.
