Our hotel is perfectly situated with views of Lake Windermere, just a short stroll from the bustling village centre of Bowness-on-Windermere and the boats that travel the length of Windermere, making... The breakfast and choice was absolutely amazing. The best we have had at a hotel. It was all fresh and constantly topped up. We had not planned to eat evening meals in the hotel, but the food was so good we ate there every night. The room too was fantastic, with plenty of space. Marc the concierge was very knowledgeable about the area and recommended some great walks suitable for us and the buses to get to them. The receptionists were also very welcoming showing us around the hotel and our room on arrival. The location of the hotel is good too, just a few minutes walk from the center and therefore not too noisy. A few days after we left I realised that I had left an expensive item of clothing behind. The hotel kindly arranged to post this home for me. We usually holiday in the Med but with the high temperatures we now get there during summer, decided to try the UK this year. We had such an enjoyable time will definitely be back next summer.

Linthwaite House is situated on a hilltop overlooking Windermere, making it the perfect base from which to explore the scenic surroundings. Everything about the property was just spectacular. I loved everything about my stay from tbe check in process to the checking out! The staff are really lovely and friendly and very helpful

The Roundthorn Country House and luxury self-catering Mews Apartments are set in landscaped gardens, with panoramic views of the Eden Valley and Lakeland Fells. First class hotel. Friendly helpful staff, beautiful, comfortable room and excellent food. We were driving south from Scotland to Liverpool to join a cruise ship, unfortunately due to bad weather conditions our itinerary was changed and we elected not to sail. I rang the hotel on our way back north and were delighted that they were able to give us the same room. Would definitely stay at Roundthorn again.

Near Windermere village, this striking Victorian mansion house has a conservatory restaurant, free parking and elegant rooms with iPod docks and flat-screen TVs. I like the layout and decoration of the room and hotel, which is very elegant.

Located in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and near to the edge of The Lake District, The Bull Hotel is a 17th-century coaching inn. It offers hearty, fresh food in its restaurant, and free Wi-Fi. This was my third stay at The Black Bull. It was my best stay yet. Special thanks to the wonderful staff, especially Laura for going above and beyond. I can't wait to come back to visit again.
