Linthwaite House is situated on a hilltop overlooking Windermere, making it the perfect base from which to explore the scenic surroundings. Our stay at Linthwaite House was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking landscape and peaceful atmosphere. The location offered the perfect blend of tranquility and accessibility—close to the town and lake, yet surrounded by nature in a way that made us truly disconnect and unwind. The facilities were luxurious, and the kindness and professionalism of the staff exceeded every expectation. We instantly felt welcomed and at home. Dining at Henrock was a highlight—the food, service, and ambiance were mind-blowing, easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. We also enjoyed meals and drinks in the bar and conservatory, which were equally memorable. Every detail felt thoughtfully curated. What we loved most was the community feel of the hotel. It’s quiet, calming, and deeply connected to the natural beauty around it, yet it offers all the comfort and sophistication of a world-class boutique hotel. We left feeling completely refreshed and already dreaming about our next visit. Thank you to the entire team at Linthwaite House for an unforgettable stay.

Near Windermere village, this striking Victorian mansion house has a conservatory restaurant, free parking and elegant rooms with iPod docks and flat-screen TVs. The property was beautiful in a reserved old building style. The breakfast room/dining room was gorgeous and the furnishings were stunning. Staff were lovely. It was just a few hundred metres to the Windermere strip shops, had private off road parking and the £3pp each way bus to Bowness where the lake cruises leave from was only a couple of hundred metres away. Breakfast was great and the staff very helpful with the luggage.

What a real gem, we were travelling through the Cumbria this past week and we're so trilled we had pre booked this amazing treat. Great room, fabulous restaurant and a really nice little pub where locals meet of an evening, their faithful dogs sitting below them at the counter. Maria is just amazing so perfect as a front of house ambassador. We loved every minute and will deff be back. Guys make a point of going out of your way to experience such a gem.

Located in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and near to the edge of The Lake District, The Bull Hotel is a 17th-century coaching inn. It offers hearty, fresh food in its restaurant, and free Wi-Fi. This was my third stay at The Black Bull. It was my best stay yet. Special thanks to the wonderful staff, especially Laura for going above and beyond. I can't wait to come back to visit again.
