The 5-star Santavenere Hotel offers a fully equipped wellness centre, swimming pools, 3 restaurants and a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. It is in Maratea, just 250 metres from its own private beach. From our very arrival at the hotel's motorized gate through to our goodbyes we were delighted with the hotel and staff at the Santavenere! Everyone was very friendly and helpful at the hotel and the property is a joy to spend time relaxing, swimming and eating. The attention to detail and the quality of everything is amazing. It all feels authentic to Italy though and so many of the staff we spoke to are from the area. The breakfasts are to die for and unfortunately time did not allow for a dinner meal at the hotel. Swimming was a delight as were the waterfront lounge beds and staff. The front desk organized a private water tour by boat and it was spectacular. We are returning for a long stay and we look forward to it!

Regiacorte is one of the most elegant and refined restaurants in Matera. A stunning Lounge Terrace enjoys spectacular views of Piazza San Pietro Caveoso and the beautiful rock church of the Madonna dell'Idris. The whole hotel facility and how it was set up was great. Our room was so tastefully decorated and beautiful, the view from our patio was amazing. The breakfast was fantastic with a great choice of food. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location was excellent, so close to everything but quiet. Highly recommended.

Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful and they loved the amazing view!
