It is in Maratea, just 250 metres from its own private beach. From our very arrival at the hotel's motorized gate through to our goodbyes we were delighted with the hotel and staff at the Santavenere! Everyone was very friendly and helpful at the hotel and the property is a joy to spend time relaxing, swimming and eating. The attention to detail and the quality of everything is amazing. It all feels authentic to Italy though and so many of the staff we spoke to are from the area. The breakfasts are to die for and unfortunately time did not allow for a dinner meal at the hotel. Swimming was a delight as were the waterfront lounge beds and staff. The front desk organized a private water tour by boat and it was spectacular. We are returning for a long stay and we look forward to it!

She also recommended Andrea, who gave us a wonderful tuk-tuk tour of the city at sunset. The shuttle service was convenient, and the hotel's location was absolutely perfect, offering easy access to everything. As a five-star hotel, it certainly lived up to its reputation, and we had an amazing time. Highly recommended!
