Conveniently located in Piazza San Pietro Caveoso in the Sassi di Matera, Sant'Angelo is a diffuse hotel whose rooms are arranged in a maze of caves, reached by alleys and steps. Beautiful rooms, we were a group and some of us got to stay in a cave and some in the palazzo, both were so beautiful. Excellent breakfast, excellent service, so happy. Will def stay here again. Amazing views.

The property was unbelievable! Historic, unique beautiful details and grounds. Each room was unique. The food was exceptional and staff so accommodating. We were in town for a family reunion in nearby Anzi. We felt as if we were staying with family. The pictures online don’t do it justice. This place is a gem! We will definitely be back.
