The staff at Boutique Hotel Stresa are truly a treasure. We stayed 3 days on our tour of Italy from the U.S. In an age of mediocre service everywhere, this hotel is an absolute stand out. The fantastic dinner at La Bolle was one to remember. Our waiter Marcus could teach a course on exceptional service and the chef there will not be long in earning Michelin star status. Do yourself a favor and book it before it gets too popular!

Set on the shores of Lake Maggiore, Villa e Palazzo Aminta offers a luxurious wellness centre, a private garden on the lake, and an outdoor swimming pool overlooking the Borromean Islands. We had a beautiful room at the Palazzo overlooking Lake Maggiore. The design of the whole hotel was fabulous and everything we ate - breakfast, dinner, snacks - were all amazing. Expensive but worth it!

Castello Dal Pozzo Resort Lago Maggiore - Preferred Hotels & Resorts is a historic property consisting of 3 buildings near the shores of Lake Maggiore. Exceptional in all respects. Staff went out of their way to accommodate our group which arrived late at night, upgrading and relocating rooms to make it more convenient for all. Beautiful breakfast.
