Grand Hotel Et Des Palmes is an elegant Art Nouveau building, right outside the restricted traffic area. It is a 5-minute walk from Palermo’s Massimo and Politeama Theatres. We have stayed in this hotel several times so now it feels like home. The staff welcomes us with so much joy and care. We know most of them by name and they are all wonderful ! We love to stay in this hotel, the facilities and the rooms are great, location is prime! Right in the center of Palermo so we walk everywhere. The restaurants are excellent as well. The hotel is an historical landmark and it shows. The lobby, the bar, the restaurants, they are all beautiful. All the different rooms we have stayed in have been beautiful, with very large bathrooms, closets, welcome sweets, etc. When in Palermo we don’t give it a second thought. We stay at des Palmes !

It is a new hotel in the city center, a block away from the cathedral. Located in a quaite place the hotel is modern and with an amazing service. The brakfast was rich of everything. The rooms are quite and very well furnished. Welcome gift was perfect! The valet parking is a bonus which I liked so much!

The hotel staff upgraded us to a suite free of charge and helped my now fiancee organize the most GORGEOUS proposal on their amazing rooftop. Everyone really made sure we had a memorable time here and we felt very well taken care of. The restaurant in this hotel has the most attentive service and delicious Sicilian food. The location is in a quiet area of town, but very close to everything you'd like to see. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Taormina!

Very attentive, polite, helpful, considerate and always smiling! Communication before and during the stay was excellent. The property is beautifully located overlooking the Temple of Juno and the amazing Agrigento countryside and sea. It's peaceful and relaxing. The infinity pool has a swim-up bar and many loungers. Both breakfast and dinner at Ambrosia are highly recommended - particularly anything including pistachios! There is easy, secure parking available for guests. The rooms with the private pools are comfortable and recommended. Bathrooms are well sized with good water pressure, high end toiletries, and ample hot water. Nightly turndown service available, including a change of towels.

Throughout our stay, the team went out of their way to help with tastings and day trips; nothing felt scripted, just warm and effortless. The grounds are expansive and beautifully kept, perfect for slow morning walks or sunset cocktails. If you’re looking for a place that captures the essence of Etna—nature, flavor, and quiet luxury—this is it. We left rested, inspired, and already planning our return.
