Such a novelty having a sauna in our room and being able to go from bath tub to sauna freely. The room was really modern with a good sized fridge and freezer. Plenty of towels were provided and they were soft and fluffy. A bonus was the 5pm happy (read free) hour drinks in the little bar area. There was also a roof top with olive trees and lounges that allowed us to see both the sunset and the moonrise over Mt Kinka. The location was excellent. Just a short walk from the entrance to Yana Gasse and across the road from Kashimori park and the entrance to Mt Kinka Observation deck. You could also hire bikes from there. We loved it all.

Located in Takayama city, Hotel Associa Takayama Resort offers hot spring baths and rooms with mountain views and free WiFi. The hotel features a sauna and massages. Resort is very well-maintained and clean, albeit a little old. There is shuttle bus service between Takayama station and the resort. The guest onsen at level 5 and 7 is wonderful after a long day outside. It comes with indoor and outdoor pools. It was snowing when we were at the outdoor pool, it was an amazing experience. Housekeeping provides turn-down service every evening to prepare the futons for sleeping. We truly enjoyed our stay here.

Variety of restaurants on site. I had dinner and breakfast at the buffet restaurant, the food was excellent both meals, the staff was very friendly. The fitness room and pool facilities were very clean and well maintained. Very nice place
