The Gate Hotel Kyoto Takasegawa by Hulic features a restaurant, fitness centre, a bar and shared lounge in Kyoto. Superb location, located near the Kamo River which is very pretty and abundant with the local wild life. The property is also located near many shops which is nice if you want to do some shopping, additionally nearby to the Kyoto Gyoen National Garden which is really nice to walk in and relaxing, Additionally near many of the great world heritage sites you can visit. over all had no issues with my stay and hopefully will stay again if I visit Kyoto.

The bed was very comfortable, the room was spacious and had a tea table and a couch. It even had an area/room for the luggages/wardrobe. the toilet was big- a vanity area, separate toilet, shower and a bathtub tub.We booked a 3 single beds corner room which was very comfortable. Absolutely spacious and well thought of design. The breakfast was a good variety of western and Asian cuisine, and had fresh salad, and they also served food that’s locally grown/farmed. Hotel was also environmentally conscious providing refillable stainless water bottles and a water filling station on each floor. The bath products provided were also organic and gentle on the skin and hair. The location was perfect! It is right next to Takashimaya and approx 70 meters away from the main crossing. It’s on the quieter side of the busy area. There is a small grocery on the ground floor selling local and home grown food, and many organic fruits and veggies. The hotel also has a few restaurants. We were only able to try Roku- a ramen place and we really liked it. The patisserie in the hotel was always full- many locals also go there for dessert/tea time. Across the hotel is a famous gyoza place called Chao Chao which always had a long queue. This is the best hotel I’ve stayed in Japan! I’ve been to Japan many times and I highly recommend this if you’re going to Kyoto and want to be centrally located. I will stay in this hotel again when I go back to Kyoto. The staff are very helpful, warm and friendly. They helped me in making a reservation for the airport bus from Kyoto to Kansai airport in Osaka. They also booked a van taxi for us since there were 3 of us with luggages.

The Thousand Kyoto features air-conditioned rooms with satellite flat-screen TV in the Shimogyo Ward district of Kyoto. Wonderful location near Kyoto Station. Friendly staff and cute robots delivering food to the floor. Great view of Shinkansen trains passing by. Facilities were excellent and everything was spotless.

Awarded two pavilions by the Michelin Guide 2020, Hotel Alza Kyoto is situated near the Kamo River and within Gion District, a 2-minute walk from Sanjo Station. Great location, room service breakfast was wonderful.
