Amazing room, amazing view, amazing amenities, amazing common area, amazing staff. The hotel provided free open bar and varieties of bath salt on the lobby which is a good touch. View of sunset from the room balcony is breathtaking. It also has microwave and bigger fridge than normal hotel which is very helpful. They have ice machine and laundry room to use. Couple of caveats are: it’s a bit of an uphill walk from main street which can be quite hard if you don’t like to walk. But we enjoyed the walk since onna overall is breathtaking. They also only have 1 restaurant which provides decent Chinese food, and no room service. But there’s a very good restaurant just 3-5 mins walk just up the hotel hill, would recommend to book esp if for dinner.

We loved being able to hear the brook as we lay in bed. There's so much space. The tub is nice. I loved the reading room by the shower room. I also loved the bench by the window. If I were to have a house built, I'd want it just like this. I loved the swing outside the glass treehouse. I also loved the hammock on top of it.

The hotel’s location on the kouri-island, with surrounding views over the ocean truly is unique. From all we have seen on our travel, the Kouri-island was the truly best finish to our travel. Culinarily, the hotel’s “Bombance”-restaurant offers enriching experiences, with an amazing deep-dive into the Japanese kitchen. Noteworthy is the attention that the staff pays to one’s food-preferences as well as the fact that we also had two nights where Japanese specialty cooking was practiced. Breakfast is rich and diverse, with the choice between European and Japanese breakfast. The pool, spa and sports facilities are top-notch and quiet. A nice amenity is the poolside “happy hour” with drinks (beer, prosecco and non-alcoholic) “on the house” from 12 until 6 o’clock. The hotel is a center of tranquility and relaxation, where one must not care about anything. This would not have been possible without the excellent, friendly and thoughtful staff. On our day of departure even a breakfast-box was prepared as we couldn’t participate at normal breakfast. It sure is unique to have been to a hotel where literally everything was perfect.
