Hagi Onsen-kyo, Hagi
Situated in Hagi, within a few steps of Kikugahama Beach and 3.1 km of Shokasonjuku Academy, 宵待ちの宿 萩一輪 features accommodation with a garden and as well as free private parking for guests who drive. The property is located 3.1 km from Shoin Shrine, 4 km from Hagi Station and 25 km from Ojiyama Park. The hotel has a sauna and room service. The staff were all helpful and polite. They went out of their way to make our stay really special. I asked at short notice if a small celebration cake could be added to the evening meal for my partner's birthday. It was too late to prepare that, but still they presented her with a small gift at the end of the meal, beautifully wrapped, which was so unexpected! The Japanese breakfasts were delicious and each ingredient was introduced and explained. The evening meal was wonderful, one of the best meals this month in Japan. The room with western beds and a japanese room was very comfy and clean and the onsen was perfect for a small hotel. Overall the hotel was so relaxing and we felt welcome, even though we only spoke a little Japanese. The beach in front was idyllic and the ceramic shops were great, having a chance to meet the ceramicists . The best hotel vidit so far! Thank you!
Five-Star Hotel in Hagi

The hosts were very kind, welcoming and thoughtful. The location overlooking the sea is perfect for those looking for somewhere a bit remote and away from the city. Nicely designed private luxury cabins, which seem new and in good condition.
Room was spacious with better facilities than the usual 5 star-hotel (this is standard for a love hotel). Room was clean. Check-in was easy.
The twin room was very spacious and comfortable. Dinner was superb, even though the choice was limited to 3 set courses. Breakfast was a mix of Japanese and Western buffet. The location is great, with views of Kintaikyo from the restaurant.
