Our stay was incredible such fantastic hospitality from Samira the manager and his team from being greeted with water Lillies to watching a fantastic cookery demonstration in the kitchen. The food was lovely the staff couldn’t do enough for you always with a smile we will definitely be returning on our next visit

After a disappointing experience in Kandy and a grueling 10-hour drive, we arrived at this incredible haven, where we were warmly welcomed by Inoka at the gate. She went above and beyond, even helping us maneuver our little tuk-tuk up the driveway. The dinner she prepared was absolutely delicious, and the hospitality was unmatched. This place, and its wonderful owner, truly became one of the highlights of our journey through Sri Lanka. The breakfast? Simply out of this world! We’ll be recommending this hidden gem to everyone we know.

An absolute highlight during our trip to Sri Lanka - beautifully redone colonial estate with amazing indoor and outdoor areas (including a large pool - great for swimming laps or just enjoying the panoramic views across the hills and jungle). Super nice owners and staff - loved also the dinner! Overall cannot recommend The Flame Tree Estate enough - an absolute gem!

The Elephant Stables er bygget i en gammel kolonial bungalow, en smuk ejendom med udsigt over Kandys frodige grønne landskab. Gæsterne bydes velkommen med udendørs swimmingpool og hyggelige værelser. The bungalow sits atop a hill with a view of a river, hills and forested landscape capturing a picturesque view of Kandy. The morning mist encompasses the bungalow making you feel you're living in the clouds. With an infinity pool and attentive service and a gorgeous property this stay capped my entire Sri Lanka trip. The bungalow is located 15 min drive from the main property but check-in and everything else is handled directly at the bungalow. The rooms are clean and well furnished. Manju (head of housekeeping) took our orders and overall made our stay enjoyable. The food cooked by the private chef was memorable. Would encourage all friends to visit.
