The Golden Crown Hotel is a 5-star hotel located in Ampitya, Kandy, Srilanka. The hotel is impressive as soon as you walk in. The staff were quick to greet you and help you check in. The room (family), was spacious, quiet, very clean with all modern fittings and amenities. The breakfast was excellent - catered for a range of cuisines. Again, the restaurant staff were friendly and attentive. I wish I could have stayed longer!

After a disappointing experience in Kandy and a grueling 10-hour drive, we arrived at this incredible haven, where we were warmly welcomed by Inoka at the gate. She went above and beyond, even helping us maneuver our little tuk-tuk up the driveway. The dinner she prepared was absolutely delicious, and the hospitality was unmatched. This place, and its wonderful owner, truly became one of the highlights of our journey through Sri Lanka. The breakfast? Simply out of this world! We’ll be recommending this hidden gem to everyone we know.

A jewel of a hotel. A magnificent waluwaa which has been lovingly restored and decorated. The art collection is mesmerising especially for anyone with an interest in Sri Lankan art and history. David has done a superb job and we only wished we had stayed longer. The meals on the vernada were superb quality and portion sizes were just right. We enjoyed a walk around the estate grounds. Highly recommended and would lend itself to a longer stay as a well located base and so much nicer than being in Kandy or a large impersonal hotel.

The food was amazing you neeeeeed to try the buffet it is really worth it! Also everybody was so nice! We strayed for longer than we planned because we enjoyed it a lot! When you come to this place you need to book the tour trough the area with the guy called Isuru! He is such a clever and cool guy and knows everything about the area, the animals the plants everything! It was so interesting! He also got us a pomelo from the tree after we told him that we love pomelos! And i promise it was the best ever! Thanks a lot to everyone who made our stay!

Santani Wellness Kandy, having opened in 2016 has received a number of international accolades highlighting the level of service, the cuisine and the spa. A very luxurious experience consisting of ayurvedic spa treatments, great meals, helpful & kind staff, morning walk thru through nature, a great cooking class. A nice place to unwind - definitely recommend for anyone seeking a zen experience while in the northern part of Sri Lanka.

The team at the house went above and beyond to make sure our stay was unforgettable! The attention to detail and warm hospitality truly made our experience exceptional.
