This property is newly renovated and it was beautifully designed. The room had very thoughtful and comfortable features. The staff was lovely, warm, and welcoming, and not at all stuffy which can sometimes be an issue at properties of this caliber. We traveled with two young children and they were welcomed with great care. The little treats and gifts they left for us and our kids were so kind. The included breakfast was divine — wonderful variety and exceedingly delicious. All in all we couldn’t have asked for a better first stay and look forward to returning!

Located in Valkenburg and with Vrijthof reachable within 12 km, Château St Gerlach - Oostwegel Collection, member of Relais and Châteaux provides a tour desk, allergy-free rooms, a terrace, free WiFi... The property is gorgeous, with every nook and cranny oozing with history and character. Driving in was easy, check-in was helpful, showed us all interesting spots to visit on a map and asked to help with our luggage. We took a late lunch at the bistro close to the grounds entry, which was delicious. This is where we tried the house wine for the first time and were pleasantly surprised. We chose the rose garden and the orchard as a place to unwind before dinner. Dinner was sublime and the staff really took the dietary needs of my pregnant wife seriously. Almost every dish was extra tailored specifically for her. Room was lovely and had a very nice welcome gift for my wife’s birthday. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had with very nice choices a la carte and buffet. After checkout we borrowed an umbrella for the sun and went around on a hike that was guided via an app, all was very easy to install and follow. Coming back we also went into the church and learned about the life of St. Gerlac and his journey from a bandit to a saint, not often you hear about such redemption arcs. Back at the hotel the staff went the extra mile to open the bar ahead of schedule to serve us drinks before we set off home.

Hotel Maison Maastricht Centrum - Handwritten Collection ligger i Maastricht og har et fitnesscenter, have, et fælles opholdsområde og bar. There is a Brand new addition to this facility that we stayed in. Very nice room, well appointed. Maaike (manager)was exceptional. We were welcomed very warmly and she escorted us to our room explaining all features and treated us to a glass of champagne to boot. Rest of the staff were very attentive as well. Location is fabulous. 20 minute walk from train station and couple of minutes to city center, sights, restaurants, shopping etc.
