Surrounded by 80 000m² of beautiful gardens, this 5-star hotel is 4 km from Évora city centre and housed in a renovated 15th-century convent. It offers a piano bar and free parking.

Guest rooms at Convento do Espinheiro are luxuriously furnished, free wifi and coffee machine. Each en suite bathroom offers a bathrobe, slippers and free bathroom amenities. Some rooms have a private terrace. LOVED this place. Full of history and ambiance. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and it was fabulous. Great sommelier! The breakfast was amazing. What a selection. We also booked spa treatments so it was super relaxing. We enjoyed the fact that it was outside of Evora for some relaxation and quiet time.

São Lourenço do Barrocal is located in the foothills of the medieval village of Monsaraz and nearby the Alqueva lake. The pet-friendly property is set in a 780-hectare estate, which comprises a restaurant, a bar lounge, a pool bar, a Spa with fitness centre, a winery and a store. Love love love. The property is mind blowing Simple but so sophisticated. The pool, the restaurants, the grounds. Attention to detail and the personal touches so heartfelt. I had my birthday here and they spoilt me with cake and champagne. Everything was very personal. Maria , Tatiana and all the staff went above and beyond. Can’t wait to come back next year!!💚

Guests can enjoy a breakfast buffet daily. The hotel has 2 restaurants in place: Primavera Restaurant is our traditional cuisine restaurant, and Narcissus Fernandessi, our fine dinning restarant, serves a contemporary interpretation of Alentejo’s cuisine made with local sourced ingredients accompanied by selected local wines. This hotel is stunning! Everything about it is pure luxury. Decked out in marble, the rooms and facilities are incredible. The owner owns a marble quarry, so the design of the hotel is fully fitted out in marble. It is rare and world class. The daily breakfast was impeccable and the servers were so kind and spoke in French, English and Portuguese. The staff went over and above and we booked in a wine tasting with the chef of the restaurant and it was amazing!!

Located in between Évora’s Gothic cathedral and the Templo de Diana, this renovated convent features a courtyard swimming pool together with characteristic arched corridors and vaulted ceilings.

Guests can enjoy Portuguese dishes in Pousada’s restaurant, which has a chic indoor dining hall and a covered terrace by the pool. There is also a bar and a large lobby with plenty of seating. Fabulous converted historic convent next to Roman ruins and a Michelin star restaurant. Every corner had lovely architectural detail and the very sumptuous breakfast was served in the old cloisters I think. I also had dinner there one night and it was excellent. The staff were very attentive and the front office staff arranged a special taxi tour for me last minute as I had some spare hours. The pool was very clean and secluded with comfortable loungers while the location of the hotel was marvellous and a short walk to the town centre with lots of little stores and a wide variety of restaurants.
