The hotel itself is a hidden gem—beautifully designed, serene, and surrounded by stunning natural beauty. Every corner exudes charm and tranquility. What truly made the experience exceptional, however, was the incredible team that brings the place to life. A special shoutout to Camille, the General Manager, whose warmth, attention to detail, and passion for hospitality are truly inspiring. Camille went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. The staff were equally amazing—Jeff, Khadija, Saluma, Haitham, and everyone else whose names I might have missed—each one of them was friendly, professional, and genuinely caring. Whether it was arranging excursions, preparing delicious meals, or simply checking in to make sure we were happy, they made every moment feel special. If you’re looking for a place to relax, reconnect, and feel completely at home in paradise, look no further than Be Zanzibar. I can’t wait to return!

The best thing about the resort is the staff. Everyone goes out of their way to accommodate you. It was a real personalized experience and me and my husband are so grateful for the Zanzibar hospitality we received at this resort.

Staff were incredibly warm and helpful and went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special. We were surprised they had decorated the room and even left some beautiful (full size) skin care products as a gift. The room decor is also very thoughtful and functional. The hotel design is lovely too. You feel like you’re in the centre of the action too so its a great place to explore Stonetown.

Alma Butique Hotel is an excellent place for people who want to detox and relax in a calm environment. Hotel is small (around 30 guests maximum; we benefitted even from the smaller presence) and with its beautiful garden guarantees privacy. It was open in 2022 so rooms have a brand new tasteful (boho style) equipment. The polite and kind houskeeping ensured that rooms an teracces were clean, drinking water supplied regularly (in big glass bottles) and we had a choice of teas (we could prepare them having a kettle) as well as coffee and coffee machine. The joint pool (we had also a small private one) allows swimming during low tide. Breakfasts were very good, notably as concerns warm dishes from the menu, prepared upon our requests. We loved having long breakfasts followed with a coffee at the terrace while enjoying the beatiful view at the garden and ocean with a gentle and warm breeze. The staff was very nice and always helpful (notably as concerns organizing excursions and transfer). One of us benefitted from spa (excellent masagge!).

The resort is a 10 out of 10. Luxury at its best! The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. Everything was meticulous and the attention to detail was impressive. Chef Keith went above and beyond and took us on the most amazing culinary experience. He has incredible talent and made our stay even better than we could ever imagine. Hands down best resort in Zanzibar!

One of the best hotel. We enjoyed our staying there. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. The breakfast delicious. 30 seconds to the beach. We recommend the place!
