Everything was excellent. Breakfast was sumptuous. Dinner was high quality. All food was perfect. Pool was romantic. Room was large with fantastic balcony. Location near lake in the mountains could not be beat. We will definitely return here.

It's our 4th time at the place - but the hotel has been renovated to it's core - the architect with the input from a perfectionist team - has created a combination of functional modern with local most amazing wooden Austrian flair. The boutique hotel is best located - facing a panoramic mountain view or the golf course. The breakfast is high quality with great choices for everyone. The rooms - with very nice balcony - are bigger than before and super comfy and beautiful. The Spa is offering all you need, brand new and very spacious. All facilities are well thought through - even plenty of storage for bikes, golf bags or skies. Starting now you can even enjoy a restaurant service. And not to forget the entire team - making the experience like home away from home. We will be back again !

The location is marvelous, and the hotel is centrally located, but away from the main street. The hotel feels like home - a beautiful home. The atmosphere is relaxing, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent.

The rooms were very clean and spacious with lots of amenities including spa towels, spare rucksack and walking sticks for anyone hiking the local national park. It’s a very comfortable room and we had a double aspect and balcony which was lovely to admire the view of the mountains. The staff were exceptional in making our stay with them the best it could be. The food is exceptional and I highly encourage booking half board as you will not regret it. The breakfast is varied for all diets and the quality of ingredients is extremely good. If staying for dinner you will get a menu at breakfast for dinner with 4 choices of main dinner. The choice of buffet starter is delicious and then there is always a soup choice too. I absolutely loved the soups such as tomato consommé. Then the main dinners and desserts are excellent, I honestly cannot speak highly enough about how great the restaurant is, the creativity of the dishes, flavours and presentation are exceptional. Dishes such as the dessert of lingonberry pancakes with sour ice and local wild blueberries had us talking how delicious it was several times the next day! Then other thoughtful touches like a daily MorganPost newsletter giving weather predictions, hiking routes and things to do as well as offers from the spa were really appreciated. Overall I would highly recommend staying at this lovely hotel. The quality of everything from the amenities, the cleanliness, the staff and restaurant are excellent. We had to leave to get our flight before breakfast started and this came up just by chance in a conversation and we were immediately invited to the restaurant thirty minutes early so as not to miss out on breakfast before our journey. You would not get this from a big chain of hotels and shows just how much guests are valued at the Sonnerhof.

    Nice and modern hotel with a beautiful view of the Alps near the Achen Lake. Comfy and spacious rooms, the infrared cabin inside the room is a true specialty. A convenient location - 20min drive from Alpbach ski resort and 35min from Zillertal ski resort, a big spa center within 3min on the lake.

    The property was immaculate. So clean and tidy . Very high standard of decor . Beds very comfortable. Showers outstanding . Excellent location and the Italian restaurant with the hotel was good value and high quality . There was a large choice of breakfast in a beautiful breakfast room overlooking the mountains. The staff were amazing especially Lisa - really made our 10 day stay we had exceptional .

    Super location - not far from cafe, restaurants, travel (bus, steam train, cable car); bike hire; food shop. Nearly all accommodation should get Mountain View’s; some get a lake view. Modern clean rooms good quality. Very clean. Good breakfast. Friendly staff.
