Fantastic location, family run small Gasthof with great charm and location in the forest. The rooms are cosy and warm, finely appointed. Highly recommended.

My reviews are for people who understand that concept of pay cheap and so do not expect 5 star. This is heaven. Almost alpine like from the outside to the main open area to the rooms and their views. Room was extremely comfortable with a very well equipt bathroom and wonderful mountain valley views. The only thing missing was the snow (oh well next time and there will be a next time). Wonderful bar area and the dining room for both dinner (we went with the Buffet - well worth it) and the buffet breakfast cannot be faulted for either the room itself or the food. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. There is a lift. And a spa area (although I only looked into it and did not use it) that I believe is free to use. It is a charming walk from the hotel into town (however it is about 2 km) and when it is windy in winter, it is cold. However, I like the cold, so I was happy. We made two mistakes. We should have hired a car to come here (tons of parking and the public transport in this area is terrible) and the second mistake was that we only booked for one night. Both mistakes will not be repeated next time.

Large ultra clean perfectly sized room in an original old building in the centre of this beautiful town. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Excellent huge breakfast, restaurant serves interesting menu in an atmospheric superb wood panelled room with great service. Very cosy bar. Great hotel all round, but the outstanding feature was the friendliness of all the staff we met. Thanks

The breakfast room is very beautiful, the breakfast was a good German standard. Especially the Brötchen were tasty. Staff is running back and forth the whole time, attending to the guests. The rooms and bedding were very clean.
