Recently renovated property that was modern yet honoured the old charm. Our room was incredibly comfortable. Dean the host was the best!!! So warm and helpful, made sure we had everything and also shared the fun facts of the hotel and town. I had requested a vegan breakfast, and he went out of his way to discuss preferences and prepared a beautiful tray each morning.

We were personally welcomed by our charming host, setting a warm tone for our stay. The stylish apartment was fully equipped with all essentials, complemented by a meticulously maintained property and pool area. Conveniently located, the property offered easy access to beaches and dining, with spacious parking facilities. Breakfasts, made from fresh, on-site produce, were a daily delight. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was quite good, with a nice variety to choose from. The location is very convenient — within walking distance to the Old Town and also easy to drive out to explore the beaches on the island. The pool was fine, and I really appreciated the welcome drinks, which we could choose freely with no conditions. As a pleasant surprise, the staff kindly waived the parking fee at checkout. :)

Beautiful property with lots of homely finishes. Lovely view and easy access to the beach with just a small set of stairs across the road. Very clean and well equipped. Hosts were friendly and welcoming and provided a tasty morning treat which was greatly appreciated. The jacuzzi was a nice surprise and was very clean. We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely place.

I chose this hotel because the location looked pretty good on the map and it was even better than I imagined. If you are taking the fast ferry from TP or KL the terminal is only a 5 minute walk with suitcases. Being just outside of the old fort was great for grabbing a taxi to explore the other areas of the island and avoiding the congestion of the fort itself when it gets busy. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They recommended a local driver to give us a short tour and stop at some wineries and he was outstanding. We also greatly appreciated the free beach towels we borrowed as it allowed us to keep our own towels dry and clean. One last thing, I was a bit worried when I requested a quiet room and the hotel replied that this wasn't possible due to the heritage status of the building. I somewhat disagree with this as we weren't disturbed by noise at all during our 2 night stay.
