This is a special property that gives a feel of a bygone era. The rooms, my bedroom and public rooms all are done in "traditional" classic style and done with great attention to detail. And the grounds sitting out on the lawn sipping tea and looking out over the green mountains is so relaxing. I loved this property and would absolutely return again. The manager Manooch (spelling?) was hands on very personable making sure I was happy with all.

Marvelous place in a very beautiful and peaceful area! I had breakfast on the terrace with a marvelous view on the mountains and the tea valley. The nights were cold, but I had electric blankets, heaters and a fireplace in my room. 😍 The staff is very friendly and attentive - they take care of anything you might need. Food is excellent! Price is quite high, though.

I will go out on a limb and recommend Cedar Inn to anyone travelling to Darjeeling. The Hotel has an "olden times" feeling about it, the staff was very courteous, rooms and facilities very clean and breakfast rich and savoury. It's away from the hustle and bustle of the Darjeeling center, but still within a 15 mins' walk from it.

Sterling Darjeeling is located 2316 metres above sea level, 1 km from Ghoom Railway Station. The property has free WiFi in the lobby and restaurant.

The view of the property is mind blowing. I mean, waking up straight with the view of Kanchan-jangha was surreal to us. We booked the Deluxe and King Valley. Both were really nice and modern. The beds were super comfy. The deluxe had a better view but the King was bigger. Staff was very friendly! We booked a deep tissue back massage and felt really good, especially after hiking in Singalila National Park.
