We liked the crab buffet and drinks. The hotel is large and many accessories. Though we can't see Aso mountaun this time due to Typhoon, the view from restaurant and room would be beautiful.

We drove to this place and they welcome us at the car park. The staffs were very very helpful. Check in was smooth and we got a surprise upgrade from the boss. It was indeed a wonderful Christmas present for our family. The room, the food, the vibes were exceeding our expectation. Kurokawa onsen is extraordinary one of all onsens. Fumoto ryokan is located in the center of Kurokawa. Very nice staff with good English communication. Dinner was Japanese kiseki with horse sashimi, Aso beef tepanyaki, tempura, assorted vegetable and one glass of local sake. The meal was really delicious for me and my husband, my child meal was hamberg rice, curry, tonkutsu and it's also excellent. Private onsen was no need for reservation, there are a lot of rooms for private onsens. I didn't see any review about children so I was a little worry. But when I got there with my 9-year-old girl, they treated my child very well, all amenities for kid, kid yukata, kid meals and a puppy doll at her bed. They are definite​ly kid-friendly ryokan.
