I have very fond memories of my stays at the Grand Bell Hotel in Otaru. I don’t understand the negative reviews I’ve seen online. The room was indeed small, but perfectly clean and well maintained. The staff – young, friendly, and professional – were always helpful and created a welcoming atmosphere. A place I can definitely recommend.

Excellent hotel. New modern rooms with lots of space ! Close proximity to the train station and canals. Staff are super friendly and the breakfast was good. Could do with some more western options. How ever this is a very minor gripe.

The apartment is spacious and clean. There are two toilets which are sufficient for a family trip of five people. Everything is great with accurate photo descriptions and instructions from the host.

I booked an Ocean View Room which turns out facing a yacht club with little yachts and boats and really big enough. Nice ocean view too. Breakfast selection and quality was good and staff at the lobby cafe were very nice and helpful. A definite credit and merit to Sano san, she speaks very fluent English.

Just a 10-minute walk to the Asarigawa Onsen Ski Resort, Asari Classe Hotel boasts indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths, an indoor pool with a hot tub, massages, indoor tennis courts and a sauna.

We really enjoyed staying here. The onsen was great and the room was large. We could walk to the ski field and some of the restaurants nearby.
