We were in town for a big event, the location is a quick walk, but we could get a good rest without the noise pollution. Also, there are good restaurants nearby. The family that runs the place is also very nice.

What a lovely little place. Super easy to access and just tucked off of the main road. Please note - use the Google Maps link that the hosts send, as we searched 'Wood Chalets Ella' on Google Maps and it takes you to a different property a few kms away, way up in the hills (this is the case at the time of writing but I flagged it with the hosts and they were looking to rectify the issue). The hosts could not do enough for us and provided a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast in the morning, which we ate on the terrace. As for the cabin itself, there has obviously been a lot of thought put into its design. It has tea/coffee making facilities (which is always welcome!), the bed is comfy and there are plug sockets on either side of the bed. They also had space for us to park our tuktuk. Thank you for a lovely stay!

What a beautiful hotel in the mountains of Ella! The pool is the highlight of the whole place and its quiet and clean. If you want to relax a few days, this is the place to be. You can’t walk to Ella town, but with a TukTuk its around 3000 LKR (more or less 8-9€) They have a good restaurant and its not expensive as others say here. The prices are the same in Ella town if you eat western food. The breakfast was pricy but very good. The employees were all nice and helpfull from the recption to the restaurant! Thank you for a great holiday

Beautiful hotel with lovely service! Outstanding views, nature and sunrise. Loved our room in upper floor with a view to the Ella peak etc. Details in room and hotel decor outstanding. Five stars. Beautiful garden! The athmosphere is calm and peaceful. Empoyees in restaurant, reception etc. very helpful and happy- good smalltalking and caretaking of the customers. Staying in BBQ Hub Ella met the expectations. The place was exactly as in the pictures. The location is very good - peaceful but near the city centre of Ella. The service was good and everyone was friendly. They even made us a take away breakfast as we had really early train.
