We were on a 17-day driving holiday in South Island, NZ. Of all the 9 properties we stayed, Olive House was most outstanding, as it was undoubtedly a home away from home. Both John and Ping were very hospitable. John is particularly helpful when it came to recommendations for visits to other Cantebury townships. He even helped us to pack the goodies we bought before we check in at the airport!

The airport was nearby, a $32 taxi ride. The bathrooms were very clean. The room was clean, and he upgraded us to a larger room, so we had more room for our group to spread out. They had all sorts of housing from campgrounds with hook ups to rooms for the whole family. The playground was fun too. They have a dump station and water fill up as well. The dog in the office is a great bonus.
