Location was excellent. I could walk into the town. It was quiet and had excellent views. The service was very personal and as a solo traveller I felt well cared for. The breakfast was excellent and hours flexible.

Exceptionally clean and well maintained studio. The King size bed was very comfortable and we had everything needed for an enjoyable three night stay. Our host, Julie, was friendly and welcoming, without being intrusive. She gave us many good recommendations and provides a laundry service, which was much appreciated on our extended trip. Pahia is a beautiful spot to spend a few days. Highly recommended.

A lovely apartment with stunning views across the bay. Bob and Margaret were wonderful hosts, providing us with lots of useful information. We enjoyed the fresh fruit which was left for us and the beers in the fridge. It was great to relax in the hot tub at the end of the day enjoying the beautiful views.

    The location & summer weather were perfect. I loved the history of the hotel and Russell (Kororāreka). There was a great ambience - historical building & modern facilities. Staff were very welcoming and proficient. Food & wine excellent. All in all a perfect stay. 10 out of 10.

    Great location near the pier in Russell. The hotel has great charm in the public areas with modern functional and comfortable bedrooms. All staff were lovely and very helpful. Two good evening dinners on the verandah overlooking the sea.

    Perfect location, quiet but overlooking the front with great views over the bay. Also close to shops and restaurants. A lovely welcome from Kirstine, who then helped us charge our ev overnight. An older style motel but very clean, fresh and kept stylishly up to date. Will stay there again and be recommending to friends.

    The Duke of Marlborough is a lovely old time hotel, beautifully renovated and modernized without losing it's charm. The restaurant is exceptional both for service and quality meals. The location is perfect - right on Russell's waterfront and close to restaurants, cafes, bars and tourist attractions
