The unit was clean and well appointed. The owner and staff could not have done more to help and make our stay enjoyable. The Motel is very close to New World and restaurants.

Located alongside the lovely Lake Taupo, Braxmere Lodge offers accommodation with a patio and lake views. Braxmere Lodge Tokaanu is a 10-minute drive from Trout Hatchery and Turangi.

Wonderful cottage right at the lake. Modern bathroom and comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen. Big bonus is the provided BBQ. Next town with a big supermarket is only 8 minutes by car. There you find also a few restaurants (reservation is recommend). Restaurant right next to the cottage is closed at the moment, but that’s alright. Some people said it’s hard to find, but if you are ok driving a little off the main road, and you can read signs you will definitely find it 😉

The hot water pools were a real bonus. Jo, one half of the ownership team is one of the most friendly and helpful people I have met and in New Zealand that is saying something.
