Curious place. We were driving from Phuket to Bangkok and chose Chumphon for a late booked over night rest stop. From some legacy and painted over signs it looks like they are part way through a relaunch or rebrand.. Collection of chalet like rooms with parking slots in a very pleasant trees and flowers setting. Both chalets newly painted outside. Mine had wood panelled walls and a four poster bed, clean linen, quiet aircon, unusual shower / bath, kettle, fridge all worked ok. There is bar food and a shop nearby (and some horses!) and about 15 minutes safe walk to the town with plenty of facilities. Staff were kind, pleasant and helpful. OK for overnight.
